Music: The Lumineers

I think it was about 3 or 4 years ago now that my cousin Ryan (I have like 3 cosins that I use as sources for new music) told me about the Lumineers. I listened to "Ho Hey" and that was it, I was hooked.

Coming from both Denver, Colorado and Ramsey, New Jersey, this folk rock band consists of Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar), Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion), Neyla Pekarek (cello, bass, percussion, backing vocals), Stelth Ulvang (piano, mandolin, accordion, guitar, banjo, clarinet, glockenspiel, double bass, trombone, trumpet, flute, drums, backing vocals) and Ben Wahamaki (bass guitar, upright bass, guitar).

In 2002 Josh, brother of Jeremiah and best friend of Wesley died of a drug overdose. Jeremiah and Wesley turned to music to cope and heal.

Their self-titled debut album did quite well, garnering two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Americana Album. Their second album Cleopatra is set to be released on April 8th, 2016.

Until then, we wait.
