What is it that empowers you most?
Focusing on my own passions and strengths. I find that going with my gut always works out best in the long run.

What is it that you love most about yourself?
My sense of humor. Even though I'm sure there are people who don't find me funny, I'm always guaranteed to be laughing at my own jokes.

What makes you feel most beautiful?
A good blow out and fuchsia lipstick. Boom!

Who is your biggest role model and why?
I don't really have one role model, per se, because nobody's perfect. There are strengths I value in most women, and I try to weave them all together into a collective idea of who I strive to be.

Who are your favourite cultural heroines and why?
Eleanor Roosevelt. She had a crappy marriage to the President (which most history books won't tell you) but still did things her way and tried to make a difference with women's rights.

Never doubt yourself.

If you could pick one fictional female character to be for a day who would it be and why?
Anne of Green Gables—she was feisty and didn't take no for an answer.

What is your biggest life goal?
Winning a Pulitzer Prize in fiction.

What is your biggest accomplishment?
Having two awesome daughters who are kind, loving, and authentic.

What is your favourite quote?
There are so many great quotes that it's hard to have one favorite. I have about ten that I really try to focus on. One that stands out, as a blogger, is something I heard Oprah Winfrey say regarding when she first started her television show and she started becoming fixated on the competition instead of focusing on her own talents and not worrying about what other people were doing. It was:

"You'll never win the race if you're busy watching everyone else run theirs."

So true!

If you could tell your 12 year old self one thing what would it be?
Never doubt yourself.

What does feminism mean to you?
It means working hard and being secure enough to support and empower other women without being threatened by them. Women can be so mean to other women. Success isn't finite!
