What is it that empowers you most?
It empowers me to know that I am here, on earth. I am empowered to be Canadian.

What is it that you love most about yourself?
What I love most about myself is that I was raised to accept people for who they are and love unconditionally.

What makes you feel most beautiful?
That moment when you leave a room after doing something that made someone feel super great about themselves and you’re left with a huge grin on your face. That would have to be the time I feel the most beautiful.

Who is your biggest role model and why?
I’d have to say my sisters are my biggest role models. They are equal mentors in my upbringing and I feel that they have shaped who I am because of their constant guidance and support.

Who are your favourite cultural heroines and why?
Does Emma Watson count? I basically admire her for being admirable.

I guess my biggest accomplishment to date would be my independence.

If you could pick one fictional female character to be for a day who would it be and why?
Gazelle from Kinsgman: The Secret Service, she’s got blades for feet, need I say more? She’s badass.

What is your biggest life goal?
My most favourite thing in the entire world is listening to my grandma tell me stories. Grandparents are the most precious thing a child can ever have. Think of all the decades of knowledge and stories squeezed into one human. I’d have to say my biggest life goal is to be a ‘Granny Annie” someday. If I can love my grandchildren as much as my grandmother loves me, my life goals would be reached.

What is your biggest accomplishment?
That’s a toughy. I guess my biggest accomplishment to date would be my independence. I feel accomplished for traveling. It’s a good feeling knowing I put myself out there and went for the plunge. I learned how to be independent, to think and do for myself.

What is your favourite quote?
"Keep on Keepin’ On"

If you could tell your 12 year old self one thing what would it be?
Getting your period is not the end of the world. Get out of bed and go to school.

What does feminism mean to you?
Respect for equality.
